Janet Jackson is one of the few child stars that's made it out alive (sans rehab or psych ward trips). Janet graces the March cover of Vibe magazine. In the double issue she talks about growing up a Jackson, her man Jermaine, and being a child actor. Here are some highlights with the interview...

On growing up in her household:
“I remember being a kid and they’d come over … you take so much for granted…. you’re not thinking about the fact that it’s Marvin Gaye over all the time, or Diana [Ross] or Smokey [Robinson].”

On her relationship with super-producer Jermaine Dupri:
“Married or not, it’s not important … I feel like it’s it …. It’s been about eight years. He’s just a sweetheart. Truly a good-hearted person.”

On being a responsible child in the entertainment business:
“One of the major things was my work ethic, since I was a kid … I never had my mother wake me up … I’d get myself up everyday. It never struck me … that’s a lot of difficulty for a 10-year-old … I don’t know if it’s something in the genes, or from watching my brothers, seeing them working hard.”

Threesomes

Damn Jermaine Dupri is one lucky man! Not only is his girlfriend Janet Jackson hot, she's thinks threesomes are "cool".

Since her new album 'Discipline' is about the experience of having sex with multiple partners, when Janet was asked if she was into threesomes she replied, "I think whatever you're into, as long as you both are into it, it's cool."

Shunning Jackson 5 Reunion

Janet Jackson has dismissed reports she is shunning a Jackson 5 reunion tour, insisting she`s the one urging her siblings to go ahead with the gigs. The R&B star was alleged to have refused a support slot on the group`s planned world tour, which her older brother Jermaine Jackson is trying to organize.

But she claims she`d be delighted to hit the road with her family, if only the rest of the legendary band would agree to the tour.

She tells Larry King, "I would love to (tour with them). I get my brothers on the phone all the time. I`m the biggest fan of the Jacksons, The Jackson 5.

"I have conference calls all the time pushing them to do a huge tour. I tell them if they did, I would love to open for them.

"I have never opened for anyone. My very first tour, I was the headline. It was a nation(wide) tour. I never opened for anyone. It would be an honor."

But when asked which of her siblings is refraining from the comeback tour, she refuses to confirm reports it`s Michael, coyly adding: "They would love to, but one of them is on the fence. You have to respect that. He`s worked very hard at his solo career. I don`t know. Maybe he`ll come around. Still kind of working on him."

Jermaine Dupri and Janet Jackson were spotted leaving the CNN studios in Los Angeles after Janet’s interview with Larry King.

Janet reveled that she would be the opening act for a Jackson Five reunion tour if they do go ahead with doing one during the Larry King taping. She also said that she has regular conference calls with her brothers and hopes the reunion will happen soon.

Secret Wedding Plans

Janet Jackson is a smart woman and she knows exactly how to manipulate the media.

Last week Janet went on and on about how she's "allergic" to marriage and how she won't be walking down the aisle anytime soon. "I've done it twice before. I’m afraid I might be allergic to marriage." But it turns out she's been planning the details of her wedding this whole time.

According to reports, she recently asked Badgley Mischka for bridal gown samples. "She's preparing for her private nuptials," said one source.

Janet's been dating Jermaine Dupri for six years, so we wouldn't be surprised if reports of a secret marriage surfaced soon. Keep in mind Janet was married to Rene Elizondo for over 7 years in the 90's and no one even knew about it until they filed for divorce, so she's obviously capable of keeping a secret.
